DEDC continues helping Dublin

The Dublin Economic Development board met in regular session on February 22, 2022 (2/22/22). Unfortunately, they were unable to meet at 2:22:22, but the meeting did continue the trend of producing positive results for Dublin.

His name was Jake Hamon. He was an oil man, politician and railroad tycoon from Ardmore, Oklahoma and apparently he had plenty of money. He decided to build a railroad from Breckenridge to Dublin in 1919.

KoC fish fry starts Friday

The Stephenville Knights of Columbus begin their annual Lenten Fish Fry Friday, March 4 at Newman Hall. The weekly event will run from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Fridays thru April 8. The meal will consist of fish, coleslaw, hushpuppies, french fries, tea, and dessert. Prices this year are $15 on all orders.

Curtis Lewis was once a police officer in Dublin, until, in 2014, he went to prison on a drug charge. “I would like to apologize to the citizens of Dublin for letting them down,” Lewis said. “I was in a leadership role there and I made the wrong decisions, and that bothers me daily.
