Dublin sales tax collections were down in December 2023 at 7.5% lower compared to December 2022, according to the state sales tax report released by Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar. For the month of December 2023, Dublin received $60,315.08, compared to $65,246.59 in December 2022.

Feb. 5 A reporting person came into the station to report the neighbor’s dog was severely malnourished. Call was referred to animal control. There was a report of a reckless driver that tried to cut off the reporting person and went onto the sidewalk in Deleon.

The Dublin Garden Club held their regular monthly meeting at 3 p.m. Feb, 14, at the Trinity Anglican Church Fellowship Hall. Lonnie Jenschke, Erath County Extension Agent, was the guest speaker. Mr. Jenschke spoke about good practices for successful composting.

Dublin High School students were presented with medals and scholarships Tuesday, Feb. 20 during the Dublin Rotary Club meeting at the Station as they participated in an essay contest based around Rotary Club’s four-way test.
