A park ranger with Texas Parks & Wildlife educates young boys on nonvenomous snakes in Texas. Kids and adults alike were able to give gentle pets to the snakes.  For more photos see The Dublin Citizen Facebook page. 
Troop 30 went camping in September at V Ranch and Farm owned by James and Leta Sage. While there, Troop 30 worked on cooking, camping and bird study merit badges. During a hike, the boys found a 12 point deer skull. The Troop will be camping every month. Troop members are Jaxson Salinas, Joe Salinas, Falen Henderson, Lucas Koen, Issac Puerta, Sam Minor and Jacob Puerta. Leaders include Raymond Salinas, Carlos Puerta, Gabriel Minor and David Cleveland. Submitted photo

Fall Fest offers spooktacular time for elementary, intermediate students

Dublin Memorial Stadium was filled with costumed kids and parents as Dublin Elementary and Intermediate hosted the annual Fall Festival Oct. 4. Games and treats abounded for the students as they made their way around the field and track. For more photos see the Dublin Citizen Facebook page.

Stephenville Cattle Company is gathering up items for its annual Round-Up for Rehab Special Auction and Gun Raffle at noon Saturday, Oct. 26.This is the 45th year that the cattle company has held the event benefitting the West Texas Rehabilitation Center.

DHS seeks to honor local veterans Nov. 11

Dublin Students, Staff, and Administration would like to cordially invite and honor our United States Veterans at the Secondary campus with a breakfast on November 11, 2024 at 8:00 am.The breakfast will be followed by our Veterans Day program starting at 8:50 am.

$58K raised for Rylan Strong

Hundreds of people proved that childhood cancer is a priority as they contributed more than $58,000 to the third annual Wheels of Hope for the Rylan Strong Network.“I was blown away,” founder of the nonprofit Mike Pruitt said.

Rezone OK’d for new subdivision

The Dublin City Council approved a rezoning request for another dense family subdivision during the regular meeting Monday, Oct. 7.This request was presented with a public hearing on the 7.760 acre property (around S. Park and Trowbridge) with owner Jose Briseno outlining the project.
