Veterans Job Fair set Aug. 22 in Dallas

DAV (Disabled American Veterans) and RecruitMilitary® will co-host the Dallas Veterans Job Fair, August 22 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at AT&T Stadium. The event is free to veterans, their spouses, active-duty military personnel and members of the National Guard and Reserve.

Memorial fund seeks applicants

The Birdie Hartsough Frey Memorial Fund is now seeking applications from charitable organizations working in the area.Frey was a prominent Stephenville resident of the last century, and was known in her lifetime as a generous and thrifty person.

Two employees have been awarded scholarships from Chick-fil-A Stephenville after their proficient applications and exemplary work ethic.
Dr. Dennis Reed of Dublin Veterinary clinic visited with kids at Morning Star Ranch Saturday, Aug. 10 as part of the summer Wranglers program. Dr. Reed spoke about basic horse care and fielded questions about horse health the kids had prepared in advance.
