Pinewood Derby set for Feb. 22Pack 35 of Dublin will be having its 2025 Pinewood Derby Races from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 at 815 N. Patrick Street.There will be a Den Class, Sibling Class, Legends Class and a Corporate Class!The event will be great fun and entertainment for all ages!

Sales tax down for November

Dublin sales tax collections were down 4.74% in November, compared to November 2023, according to the state sales tax report released by Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar.For the month of November, Dublin received $51,327, compared to $53,885.38 in November 2023.

A reporting person requested to speak with someone in regards to harassment.There was a report of a truck and dump trailer on North Patrick losing debris headed towards Allsup’s possibly going to the dump. An officer in the area did not locate debris, it was already picked up.

The North & East Texas Press Association, in conjunction with the Texas Press Association will award two $1500 scholarships to eligible candidates at its April 3-5 convention held in Fairfield.

The Middle Trinity Groundwater Conservation District voted Thursday, Jan. 16 at its monthly board meeting to appoint former director Ed Dittfurth to fulfill the rest of Erath director Jerry Hinshaw’s term.
