UIL released the conference cutoff numbers for the 2024-2026 realignment on Friday, Dec. 8, leaving many to theorize about athletic districts in the coming years.

Dublin High School’s snapshot number was 327 leaving it firmly in 3A Division II as the range for 3A was announced as 254-544 with D2 for football announced as 254-368 and D1 announced as 369-544.

Official districts won’t be known until UIL announces alignments for football, basketball, and volleyball on Feb. 1, 2024. (District alignments for other activities will be announced later.)

“It’s still a waiting game,” said Dublin ISD Athletic Director Greg Hardcastle on the district announcements. “Crazy things can happen.”

The snapshot numbers do provide some clues about future schedules as Comanche had 373 in enrollment to become DI so Dublin won’t be facing them on the football field next year.

The Lions could potentially face the Rattlers as Tolar moved up from 2A to 3A, D2 with an enrollment of 282.

Dublin will no longer battle Brock as Brock moved up to 4A with an enrollment of 624.

Here are the enrollment numbers for the schools in Dublin’s current districts.
