The Dublin Lions will be working on strategy as they enter a bye week before returning to the field Oct. 9 against the Bulldogs at Hamilton.
Head Football Coach/ Athletic Director Greg Hardcastle said they will be working on fundamentals and getting players on the same page. There are a number of injuries on the JV team so the members fit to play are moving to varsity for this game. Kickoff for that game will be at 7 p. m.
The Lions traveled to Millsap Friday, Sept. 25 where they bowed to Millsap, 60-7.
Kyler Gaitan was a stat leader with 69 yards in receiving, 5 tackles and scored the Lions touchdown. Quarterback succeeded in the PAT kick and had 108 yards in passing for the game. Hudsen Joslin also had 53 yards in receiving.
Jax Johnson had 4 tackles while Osvaldo Sandoval and Joe Salinas also had three tackles each.
Hamilton is new to 3A football but familiar to the Lions who have scrimmaged against the former 2A team in recent years and played against them in 7-on-7.
As a 2A team, the Hamilton Bulldogs were State Champions last year.
