Tarleton to play spring game April 20

In advance of the spring football season that is quickly approaching, Tarleton State Football announced Monday a set date for their annual Spring Game.

This year’s Spring Game will be played on April 20 at 2 p.m. at Memorial Stadium in Stephenville. This game will be free for all students and fans to attend.

The Spring Game will be an intrasquad game that will help conclude Tarleton’sannualFounder’s Week, which is a celebration of the university’s founder, John Tarleton.

Full details surrounding the format of the game will be announced closer to April 20. In each of the past two years, the Texans have hosted a “Purple vs. White, Offense vs. Defense” game with a unique scoring system.

Tarleton will treat the Saturday like a traditional gameday, with tailgating, concessions and entertainment. Texan Alley will open at 8 a.m. for arrivals, and tailgating will begin at 11 a.m. There are Texan Alley spots available. The Spring Game will also serve as a season ticket renewal period, giving all season ticket holders a seamless opportunity to renew their season tickets for 2024.
