Dublin had several runners log good time and place as they hosted the Fellowship of Christian Athletes cross country meet Wednesday, September 17.
“We had some [personal records] this week as we’re
3 weeks [away] from our district meet,” said head cross country coach Wes Grisham. “Our girls are hitting top 5 medalists! [They] still have room for improvement but I’m proud of our kids and the times keep improving.”
“It really shows their hard work paying off,” he continued. “You can also see our varsity boys times and team split is only 1:08
(1 min 8 sec) from 1st-5th. We are really running like a team now and feed off each other.”

Haught didn’t have a player of the week but praised Alexa Aviles for their consistent performance every week.
“Alexa may not be the tallest outside but she has one of our best hitting percentages,” he said. “Marti sets the ball beautifully and gets us in attacking position so well. Both of them can serve anywhere I tell them. They make me think of super accurate free throw shooters. They aren’t going to miss. If the community is looking to be fans of some players, #6 and #8 are some pretty great choices!”
