Dublin High School hosted several schools in the district 8-3a cross country meet, claiming several medals in the process.
“I’m really proud of our runners,” said head cross country coach Wes Grisham. “They’ve worked so hard all season. Everything Coach [Jamel] Anderson and I threw at them—they took it head on without any complaints. The leadership we have has now molded next year’s season which I believe will accelerate like we want it to.”
JV runner Aaron Salinas took silver in the boys 5000m event with a time of 18:40 while Ismari Molina placed
9th and qualified for regionals after clocking a time of 12:57 in the varsity girls 3200m to help boost her team to 5th place.
“She is excited to make it and get a new personal record,” Grisham said of Molina’s performance.
