Parents address LISD school board

Body

Lingleville School Board members heard from concerned parents before retiring to executive session in a special meeting held Friday.

Raina Carpenter spoke on a recording shared online in which a teacher was pushed to their limits and said too “much control was being given to students.” She presented copies of the Lingleville code of conduct with segments highlighted that she said were “violated” by students in the incident. She also urged a separation of the school and church. Another parent also spoke about not playing favorites saying two students with equal circumstance were handled differently.

The school board took no action after returning from executive session
