The Lingleville ISD School Board voted to change to a new legal service provider and financial advisor during its regular meeting Thursday night.
The school board announced it would be seeking a new legal service provider during the November meeting after the school was given wrong information about hiring the family member of a school board member.
Board members voted to hire Leasor Crass, P.C., who previously handled legal services for the school several years ago.
The board also voted to approve a contract with Hilltop Securities for financial advisory support.
Board members also voted to withdraw from the Greater Erath County Services Arrangement co-op, which provided special education support for the school. The move was made after Dublin also withdrew from the co-op. Dublin and Lingleville have partnered for many years in handling special education for LISD. The vote was made to keep the schools in cooperation for the benefit of LISD students.
Following an executive session, Tamera Ritchline was hired as ag teacher. She will start in the position next semester.
