LISD appoints committee in Supt. search

Body

Lingleville ISD has begun its search for a new superintendent following last month’s announcement that Curt Haley would be retiring from the position at the end of the 2021-2022 school year.

A special meeting was held April 1 to determine the manner in which the board would pick the predecessor.

A seven-person committee with five Lingleville ISD employees and two community members (one a parent and another a member of the business community) was picked to evaluate candidates.

The committee was tasked with bringing three candidates to the school board for evaluation by April 22.
