The Dublin Lions and Lady Lions both faced away losses over the past week.
Lions
The Dublin Lions traveled to Comanche on April 13 to take on the Indians in game which resulted in a 7-4 loss for the visiting Lions.
Dublin’s boys followed this up with a trip to Eastland after Thursday and Friday’s rains in Dublin forced a change of venue.
The Lions were defeated 14-1 in this match-up.
The Lions return home on Friday at 4 p.m. to take on Early
Lady Lions
The Lady Lions traveled to Comanche on April 13 to take on the Maidens, falling 13 to 3. They followed that with a trip to Eastland after the game was moved due to rainy weather in Dublin.
The girls were defeated 13-7 in that game.
“We played really well,” said Dublin Lady Lions Coach Tommy Zmeskal. “The girls stepped up with Kiersten [Fincannon] being out for the rest of the season. We are young and still struggling to put together a complete game.”
The girls were sitting at 4-7 in district competition as they headed into Tuesday’s game.
The Lady Lions return for their Senior Night game starting at 5 p.m. on the home field.
