The Dublin Lions kicked off the 2021-22 season with a 43-7 away victory over the DeLeon Bearcats.
Lions Head Coach Greg Hardcastle was proud of all of his players saying that came fast out of the gate and kept playing fast and strong throughout the first half,
The Lions leapt to an early lead with an immediate TD from across the field by Cooper Hubble, who received four for 202 yards in the game.
Hubble brought in three of the goals while the others were completed by Collin Clendenin, Mosiah Lolohea and Christian Ramirez. Ramirez added another 5 points by achieving 5 of his 6 PAT kicks.
Quarterback Chris Teten passed for 310 yards during the game, with Hardcastle offering that he will be a strong part of Dublin’s offense.
Cameron Patton and Javier Parra led in tackles with eight each. The Lions return home to host Albany Friday at 7 p.m.
