The Dublin Lions are looking for a district win following a Dec. 20 away loss to the Peaster Greyhounds.

The game ended 84-38 in Peaster’s favor.

“We had a rough start getting the offense going in Peaster, we’ve had that problem before but we’ll definitely have a better showing next time when they play at Dublin,” said head Dublin boys basketball coach Wes Grisham.

“Ayush Patel and Kaden Gaitan did a great job picking up the offense when we needed it,” Grisham added. “Kevin Patton and Fernando Esparza played solid defense getting steals which helped our fast transition offense score.”

Patel led scoring, racking up 19 points.

Gaitan followed with 10 points and Aureliano Ruiz had five.

Kevin Patton and Sev Ruiz each contributed two.

The Lions will be getting their legs back after the holidays at the Brownwood tournament Dec 28-30 where they will take on Gatesville and Wall and see what seed they take in their pool.
