Lions face tough foes

The Dublin Lions continued to fight through tough opponents last week as they faced the Mavericks at Eastland on March 28 and the state ranked Brock Eagles at home on Friday, March 30.

Head Baseball Coach Brennan Harris reported that Cooper Pickett is currently leading the Lions through district with a .429 batting average and a .579 on base percentage. The Senior first baseman is getting on base for over half his at bats in the past 6 games.

In the March 28 away game, the Lions fell 7-2 to Eastland.

Dalan Rasberry had a double while Cameron Pat ton, Kevin Patton, and Fernando Esparza contributed singles. Zak Loper pitched a complete game giving up only 3 earned runs.

Brock took the Friday game 11-0.

Kevin Patton and Dalan Rasberry collected the only hits for Dublin.

Alex Teten pitched 3 innings, giving up only 2 earned runs.
