Dublin ISD will host a trio of camps for the benefit of aspiring Lions and Lady Lions next week.
Football
The Fun in the Sun Football Camp will be hosted Tuesday, June 1 to Thursday, June 3 on the Bob & Norma Cervetto Field.
The camp is open to children ages 6 to 15 and will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Check in will be in the DHS auxiliary gym.
Participants are asked to bring grass cleats if possible, sunscreen, drinks (water will be provided) and a cap to protect from the sun.
A pizza party will accompany the awards presentation on the final day.
A $25 fee covers the entire cost of the camp, including a t-shirt.
Basketball
The 2021 Flyin’ Lion Basketball Camp will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on June 1 to June 3.
The camp will focus on dribbling, shooting, passing, sportsmanship and hustle. Awards and certificates will be handed out the final day starting at 2:30 p.m.
A $25 fee covers all costs, including a t-shirt.
Volleyball
The Lady Lion Volleyball Camp will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. from Tuesday, June 1 to Thursday, June 3 in the DHS Roy and Lynn Neff Gym.
The camp is open to upcoming 1st-9th grade students.
All campers will focus on every aspect of volleyball. On the first day, players will focus on serving, receiving, passing, setting and hitting. Wednesday’s session will focus on game rules and putting all skills together. The final day will feature games that relate to all skills and an awards ceremony at the end of camp.
A $30 camp fee will cover all costs, including a t-shirt.
