The Dublin Lady Lions won a more decisive victory over Millsap as they hosted the Lady Bulldogs for their pink out game Tuesday, Oct.7 in the Neff Gym.
The Lady Lions entered the court with fire and the bench and stands came alive as they claimed the first set 25-13. Millsap found their footing in the second set but the Lady Lions kept control scoring 26 and 25 over Millsap’s 24 and 21.
In the first round of district, the Lady Lions won over Millsap but the fight carried it out to five sets with Dublin winning 3-2.
“These girls showed exactly what it means to play with heart, resilience, and unity— fighting for every point and finishing strong together,” said head volleyball coach Hannah Smith. “We couldn’t be more proud of their effort, energy, and love for the game. They played for something bigger — for each other, for our community, and for the cause behind Pink Out Night.”
The win was followed by a 0-3 loss to Peaster at home Oct. 10 with Dublin scoring 11, 10 and 10 against the Greyhounds’ 25s.
