The Dublin Lady Lions took bronze as a team at the TR1BE Classic in Comanche Thursday, Feb. 12.
Leading the way to this finish was Cassidy Adair who took gold in the girls 198 with a total lift of 975 pounds (355 in squat, 290 in bench press and 330 in dead lift).
Lady Lions Jessa Bamber and Chloe Sullivan claimed silver in in the 97 and 242 respectively. Bamber lifted a total of 550 (215 squat, 125 bench, 210 DL) while Sullivan lifted 555 (195 squat, 145 bench, 215 DL).
Other Lady Lions who placed to secure the team win included: Bayli Jackson, 3rd in the 242+ with 805 (315 squat, 175 bench, 315 DL) Samantha Martinez, 4th in the 97 with 420 (155 squat, 80 bench, 195 DL) Candy Rodriguez, 4th in the 181 with 775 (310 squat, 200 bench, 265 DL) Rosa Filio, 5th in the 114 with 340 (125 squat, 65 bench, 150 DL) Nomi Thompson, 5th in the 132 with 615 (240 squat, 130 bench, 245 DL) The following lions also earned points for their team by placing high: Juan Elicerio, 3rd in the boys 275 with 1,260 (470 squat, 300 bench, 490 DL) Juan Alvarez, 4th in the 275 with 1,260 (475 squat, 305 bench, 480 DL) The Dublin lifters will hit the home gym Saturday, Feb. 21 as they host the rescheduled Dublin Invitational Meet starting at 9 a.m.
