The Dublin Lady Lions ended the 2023-24 basketball season with a push against the Eastland Mavericks on Feb. 6 which ended in a 59-28 win for Eastland.
“We did some great things against Eastland in the first half,” said had Lady Lions basketball coach Kim Perez. “We had some intensity and hustle!”
The score was a competitive 27-19 at the half but the Lady Mavs pulled further ahead in the third quarter.
Olivia Salyer led Dublin scoring with 8 followed by Derby Kukla and Emma Vargas who each had 6. Adriana Rosalez scored 3. Wendy Calderon, Adriana Stewart and Jaylie Williams had 2 and Ingrid Hernandez put in 1.
“I’m excited for next season the prep work has already begun,” said Perez. “We are young but again only losing our senior Madison [Turley]. I’m looking forward to what’s to come.”
