The Dublin Lady Lions are looking for a district win and are 8-8 for the season following an away loss to Peaster on Dec. 20.
The final score was 102-27 in Peaster’s favor.
“We came out and played timid,” said head Dublin girls basketball coach Kim Perez. “We missed about about a dozen shots the first 3 minutes of the game and then we couldn’t find a rhythm.”
Perez said the Dublin girls never gave up, playing especially hard in the fourth quarter.
Gabby Herrera led scoring with 11. Olivia Salyer brought a lot of energy, scoring 7.
Sierra Chapa had six, and Madison Turley had three.
The Lady Lions will be in action Dec 28-30 at the Holiday Classic in Brownwood.
Their next home game is Jan. 3 against Millsap.
