The Lingleville Lady Cardinals split wins last week, starting with a 42-20 victory over Three Way Tuesday, Jan. 6.
“It was a must win game for us if we want to make it into the playoffs, and we got it done,” said head Lingleville girls basketball coach Brandon Haught. “The girls are getting better each day. Nevaeh Jacinto and Amelia Finney were our players of the game.”
This was followed by a 43-30 loss to Walnut Springs Friday, Jan. 9.
“We battled really hard and closed a 10-point halftime deficit all the way down to 4 points,” said Haught. “But we ran into a lot of foul trouble; we had four of our starters foul out, and the game got away from us. We feel confident that we will beat them at home next time!”
