The Lingleville Lady Cardinals headed to playoffs after a 66-45 win over Bluff Dale on Feb. 10, and ended their season with a bi-district loss to May.

“We were on fire offensively scoring our most points that we have in a single game all season,” said head girls basketball coach Brandon Haught. “Nevaeh Jacinto lead the way, (and broke our School Freshman record) with 33 points scored. Amelia Finney and Denise Toledo each scored 9 points, Virginia Bivens had 7 and Jazmin Martinez had 5. Brynlee James had her best game on the glass, with 12 rebounds. Virginia and Denise also had 6 assists each which are season highs. It was definitely a great way to end the regular season!” They played the District 21 Champions, May, on Feb. 16 and lost 59 to 7.“I am proud of the girls of coming out and fighting for every bit that they could get,” said Haught. “May had beaten many teams this year by over 90 points and we were not going to allow that to happen to us. I am very excited for the next season!”
