Paul Gaudette Managing Editor The Dublin Lady Lions basketball followed their season opening win with a close battle against the Maidens in Huckabay.
The 32-49 win for Huckabay came after a second half rallying cry which closed the gap left from the first half. Before halftime, Dublin scored 9 to Huckabay’s 33. The Lady Lions leapt back in the second half outscoring the home team 23-16.
“The girls never gave up,” said head Dublin girls basketball coach Kim Perez. “It was exciting to watch.”
Leading this drive were NavaLee White and Olivia Salyer who each scored 11. Derby Kukla scored 4 while Adriana Rosalez and Ingrid Hernandez had 2. Wendy Calderon and Emma Vargas also scored a point each.
