Ladies clash with Comanche

The Dublin Lady Lions faced Peaster before returning home to take on Comanche last week.

“We started out great against Peaster,” said head Dublin girls basketball coach Kim Perez. “It was tied 14-14 at half.”

Dublin had trouble getting back on the scoreboard in the third quarter and Peaster capitalized to gain the lead.

Dublin continued to fight, scoring 23 to Peaster’s 28.

“Friday [Dec. 20], we played a very disciplined Comanche team,”said Perez. “We were moving the ball well and getting shots up.”

Despite this, Dublin got outscored 70-30.

The Lady Lions will appear at the Brownwood Holiday Classic Thursday, Dec. 26 playing Gorman at 8 a.m. and Goldthwaite at 1:20 p.m.
