Ladies clash with Comanche

The Dublin Lady Lions went four sets deep as they faced the Comanche Maidens in an away game on Sept. 26.

The Dublin ladies claimed the first set 25-23 before scoring 10 to Comanche’s 25 in the second. Both teams battled hard in the third with Comanche claiming it 27-25. Dublin scored 17 in the fourth before Comanche claimed its 25 to end the game.

Scoring in the game was assisted by some excellent stats for Dublin.

Summer Anderson racked up 12 digs, 11 assists and 3 aces.

Jaclyn Gibson had 11 blocks and 2 kills.

Paige Wilson led in digs with 13.

Bailey Watson achieved 8 blocks and 5 kills.

Ingrid Hernandez scored 4 digs and 3 kills.

Olivia Salyer scored 4 digs and an ace.

Madison Turley completed 2 kills and an ace.

Yasmin Esparaza had 2 digs.

The Lady Lions followed this with a three-set loss to Breckenridge at home on Friday, Sept. 29.

Dublin scored 15, 12 and 8 to the visitors’ 25s.

Anderson logged 6 assists, 4 digs and an ace.

Watson netted 8 blocks and 3 kills.

Turley snagged 3 kills and 2 aces.

Hernandez claimed 3 digs and a kill.

Wilson had 3 digs. Salyer had a dig, Gibson got one block and Isabella Velasquez and Esparza each had a dig.
