BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water stained; 66 degrees; 0.84 feet above pool. Black bass to 4.50 pounds are excellent on buzz baits and swimbaits in the grass and weeds, or with crankbaits off the rocks in 5-10 feet around the rock cuts. Crappie are fair around docks 9 feet with brush on minnows or jigs and some off shore brush piles. White bass are slow on crankbaits around the lighted docks. Catfish are Good on shad and cut bait..

GRANBURY

GOOD. Water stained; 65 degrees; 0.02 feet below pool. Water temperatures are in the middle 60s and falling slowly. Recent water releases from Possum Kingdom have filled Granbury. Some stained water exists in town and upstream with some floating debris, so navigate with caution. Sand bass action continues to be excellent near blue Water Shores, Decordova and near Indian Harbor. Largemouth bass are schooling with the sand bass. White and chartreuse jigging slabs are effective on the sand bass, striped bass and largemouth. Striped bass are hit-and-miss with some good fish to 9 pounds possible on live bait and trolled umbrella rigs. Best striped bass action is around the power lines in Striper Alley and some good catches reported near Indian Harbor. Crappie action on submerged structures from Water’s Edge to the Peninsula are good on small jigs and minnows. Some good reports of largemouth bass on the upper ends in the river near laydowns on crankbaits and soft plastics. Best catfish reports are in the stained water on the upper ends near Hunter Park on cut shad..

POSSUM KINGDOM GOOD. Water stained; 65 degrees; 0.02 feet below pool. Striper are fair with a few being caught on live bait. Your best bet is to just put baits in the water and slowly move around with the trolling motor until you find them. Once you find them, try to stay with them but that will be difficult because the fish are moving fast and not staying still. Sand bass are still slow to fair in 20-30 feet of water with live shad or small slabs and jigs or rattle traps. White and silver are good colors. Catfish are still fair to good up the river near Rock Creek Camp. Cut shad is producing good numbers of fish in 10-30 feet of water fished on or near the bottom. Water clarity is steady at 1-8 feet of visibility.

PROCTOR

FAIR. Water stained; 75 degrees; 1.99 feet above pool. Catfish are good on juglines. Hybrid bass are schooling in the morning under the birds.

WEATHERFORD

SLOW. Water heavily stained; 72 degrees; 4.66 feet below pool. Bass are slow in shallow water on swimbaits and spinnerbaits. Small crappie are fair with fish suspended in open water near brush piles with jigs and minnows. This bite should improve when the weather gets colder. Catfish are fair along the rocks with cut bait. Water visibility is 2-3 inches.
