We would like to share several important updates from Dublin Secondary School with our students, parents, and the community.
Student progress reports will be sent out this week. We encourage parents to review these reports carefully and reach out to teachers with any questions or concerns. As always, student success is a team effort.
We are excited to announce that Homecoming will take place on Friday, September 26th at 7:00 PM. Dublin Secondary will also be announcing Homecoming King at the Pep Rally and Homecoming Queen before the event begins on Sept. 26th. We look forward to celebrating this special evening with our students, families, and alumni. In addition, our Junior High students will kick off their school spirit with their first pep rally on Thursday, September 4th at 7:20 a.m.
As we move into the fall, we’d like to remind families that consistent attendance is essential for academic success. Parents, please ensure your student arrives on time each day. Also, with allergy season underway, we ask that you keep your student home if they are running a fever. Please turn in the office the doctor’s note when students return to school following an absence.
To further support student achievement, tutoring will begin this week in small group settings. We encourage all students who may benefit from extra academic support to take advantage of this opportunity.
To our High School Seniors—now is the time to begin the college application process. Please reach out to our counseling office for guidance and resources to help you take this important next step.
Finally, a few reminders regarding student drop-off and pick-up procedures: All students must be dropped off at the back of the building near the student parking lot.
In the afternoon, if you are picking up your child, please keep the middle lane open for traffic to drive through. You may park next to the curb or along the outer edge near the grass while you wait.
We appreciate your continued support of our parents and community in helping to make Dublin Secondary School a safe, welcoming, and successful learning environment for all.
