Dublin High School is sending nine students to Regional academic UIL competition after they placed high at the District Academic meet in Comanche Wednesday, March 26.
Dubliners winning gold at the event were Mason Graves in Mathematics and Alexis Evans in Literary Criticism. Graves also placed third in Number Sense.
Placing second as a team and named alternate was the Current Issues and Events team of Wendy Calderon, Sydney Masters and Isabella Velazquez. Calderon placed 6th in the same event as an individual and was named alternate.
In Poetry Interpretation, Morgan Keith was named regional alternate after placing 4th in Poetry Interpretation while Addison Ivie made alternate for her 6th place finish.
Michael Dunlap placed 5th in News Writing and made alternate.
Jennave Villaro placed 5th in the Lincoln-Douglas Debate and was named alternate.
