The Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council (CTFAC) is proud to partner with the CCPRA in celebrating Rodeo Heritage Week with its “Hats off to the Rodeo” exhibitions in two of its public galleries. The first exhibition at the Clark Regional Airport, located at 1050 Airport Road, features art celebrating the West, by local artists JoAnn Shulze and Pat Sharp, as well as past rodeo posters by Blu Dornan. The second exhibition located at the River North Gallery, at 204 River North Blvd, includes western heritage art by those artists, plus showcases rodeo memorabilia on loan from Skip and Blu Dornan and the Doty family. Also highlighting the exhibit are detailed, bronze cowboy sculptures by Mary Waters.

Executive Director Christine Newton said CTFAC is excited to share these pieces of art and history with the community. “We have some wonderful selections of art and rodeo items, including a 1916 Championship Bronc saddle”. The exhibits are on display now through Sunday, September 27. There will be a reception from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, at the River North Gallery, to kick off Rodeo Heritage Week. The reception and exhibits are free and open to the public.
