Dublin Livestock Auction is hosting the 4th Annual Calves for Kids Fundraiser Friday, Dec. 15 to bring a Merry Christmas to kids in local communities.
Donated cattle and cash are currently being collected. The cattle will be sold during the regular Dec. 15 sale and combined with the donated money to purchase presents and clothes for children around the community.
Visitors to the auction barn can drop off cash or unopened toys until Dec. 16 to a drop-off spot set up at DLA.
“This is a special event for us as we partner with our local schools to put all the proceeds exactly where they should be before the holidays,” DLA said in a press release last week.
Last year, more than $15,000 was raised to bring a Merry Christmas to kids in Dublin, Stephenville, DeLeon and Hico schools.
DLA is located at 9862 E. Hwy 6 between Dublin and Hico.
