The Lingleville Cardinals ended their season Friday, Nov. 8 in a 45-18 win over Ranger on the Lingleville field.
“Friday’s game was a great way to end the season,” said head football coach Jim Bays. “We got our seniors one last win at home—can’t ask for much more.”
Seniors were recognized during halftime at the game, being escorted by family and recognized by friends and fans.
Offensively senior Jorge Toledo threw for 64 yards, got 3 touchdowns and an interception. Five different players combined to turn in 115 yards on the ground in 27 attempts for 3 TDs.
“The defense showed up big only allowing two touchdowns all night,” said Bays.
“I can’t express how proud I am of this group,” said Bays. “They showed up every day and worked hard to get better, and even though our record may not show it, I believe we did that.”
