The Lingleville Cardinals hosted the Rising Star Wildcats in a fiercely defended 6-man game on the Lingleville field Friday, Sept. 6. The game ended in a 20-0 loss for the home team.
“Our defense did their part holding Rising Star to 20 points our offense just couldn’t get anything thing going,” said head Lingleville football coach Jim Bays. “When we finally did find some stuff that worked, we would shoot ourselves in the foot with a penalty.”
“At the end of the day, I’m more than happy with the heart and effort shown by my guys,” said Bays. “We just have to execute better.”
