Cardinal scores 1500, team enters playoffs

The Lingleville Cardinals ended district play with a Feb. 4 win over Bluff Dale 53-42 and a hard fought Feb. 7 loss to Huckabay 60- 40.

The team finished the regular season 22-9, 10-2 in district 22A, clinching the district runner up title.

The Cardinals squared up with Ballinger Monday, Feb. 10 in a playoff warmup game coming out with the win 57-55 in overtime. Lingleville senior claimed a milestone in the game as he passed 1500 career points with 585 scored in his senior year.

The Cards will play May in the Bi-District playoff round Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 6 p.m. at DeLeon.
