Band members headed to Area

Six of the seven Sound of Dublin members auditioning for the ATSSB Region Band were selected, with three advancing to Area. (Those three will audition for a spot on the All-State Band on Jan. 9.) Results were as follows: Grady Meador - 2nd chair symphonic band trumpet, qualified for Area; Mia Jaimes - 9th chair honors band clarinet, qualified for Area; Ruby Ortega - 1st chair symphonic band French horn, qualified for Area; Alonso Moreno - 6th chair concert band percussion; Ezekiel Dubois - 7th chair concert band flute and Yosselyn Sanchez- 7th chair concert band percussion. Alma Holguin Martinez was just two spots away from earning a spot on bass clarinet. | submitted photo
