The Dublin Lions 7-on-7 football team is into the 2023 season with recent appearances at home and away.
On May 20, The Lions got home field advantage as they went 2-1 on the Cervetto Field turf.
The Dublin boys started with a 20-0 win over DeLeon and a 26-13 triumph over Comanche JV. They ended the home tournament play with a 13-7 loss to Comanche varsity.
Comanche advanced to play Tioga in the semifinals and lost. Both semifinalists qualified for the state tourney.
The Lions took the long trek to Lindsay on May 27 where they went 1-2.
The Lions started with a 13-12 victory over Gunter JV. They fell 19-0 to Holliday and 20-0 to Millsap.
The Lions will travel to Abilene on June 9 for another tournament pool as they look to secure a ticket to state play.
