16 Lions named All-District

A total of 16 Dublin Lions football players were named All-District this week following the District 5-3A II All-District selections.

“I’m really proud of the hustle and dedication of all of these players through a pandemic,” said Dublin Head Coach Bob Cervetto, who said that all of his team kept showing Lion fight in spite of quarantines, stalls and strict practice and play guidelines.

Cervetto said he is looking forward to the next season of Dublin Lions football as there will be many returners as many juniors, sophomores and freshman tested their mettle under the Friday night lights during the 2020 season.

Cervetto was equally appreciative of the hard work of his seniors, who he is sure have bright futures ahead of them.

First Team

■ Javier Parra- 1st Team Linebacker

■ Christian Ramirez-1st Team Wide Receiver

■ Michael Stanley- 1st Team Offensive Lineman

Second Team

■ Taylor Patton- 2nd Team Linebacker

■ Javion Ray- 2nd Team Defensive Back

■ Trenton Johnson- 2nd Team Defensive Lineman

■ Michael Stanley- 2nd Team Defensive Lineman

■ Cooper Hubble-2nd Team Wide Receiver

■ Isileli Filikitonga- 2nd Team Offensive Lineman
