Robert Donald Burke Sr., 85, of San Marcos, Texas passed away peacefully with his family by his side at his daughter’s residence on March 29, 2021. Robert was born July 12, 1935 in Big Spring, Texas to Russell and Jean Cavnar Burke. He grew up in Odessa and graduated from Odessa High School in 1954. After graduating High School, Robert enlisted in the United States Air Force where he was stationed at Narsarssuak AFB, Greenland and Fort Custer in Battle Creek Michigan. While at Fort Custer he met Janet Wallace and soon after the couple were engaged. Marriage and five children followed. Robert worked at Kellogg’s in Battle Creek for many years before he and his family moved back to Texas in 1972,

Patricia Ruth Fowler, 83, passed away on April 19, 2021 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born on May 13, 1937 in Graham, Texas to her parents Velma Alice (Hancock) Betteis Saunders and William Lawson Saunders. Patricia was a retired real estate agent. She was passionate about gardening, crafts, flowers, family and loved ones, and especially the Lord. Patricia was affiliated with the First Baptist Church in Lubbock, Texas.

Welda Joyce Johnson, 82, passed away on April 5, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born on October 31, 1939 in Purves, Texas to her parents Willard and Violet (Buchanan) Akin. She married Jimmy Johnson on June 6, 1960 and together they had two children. Welda was the owner and operator of Johnson’s Gift Shop for over 30 years. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Dublin, Texas.

Don Mitchell, lifetime resident of Alexander, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the Hico Nursing and Rehab Center. Don was born February 2, 1934 in Alexander.

Christene Northcutt, 87, passed away on March 25, 2021 in Dublin, Texas. She was born on May 1, 1933 in Lamesa, Texas in Dawson County to her parents Emmet and Emma (Harvey) Turney. She married Garland Benton Northcutt and he preceded her in death in 1990. Christene worked as a hairdresser for many years. She was a very loving and devoted mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. Christene never met a stranger and always looked for the best in everyone. If Christene met you, you became a part of her family.
