Dublin ISD is sending a cross country runner to Regionals and claimed a championship on the Jr. High level and the 8th grade boys took first place as a team at the district meet on Oct. 11 at Dublin Secondary.
“This was an absolute team effort,” Head Cross Country Coach Wes Grisham said of the 8th grade performance.”These guys have a bright future upon them and have put Dublin back on the map!”
Aiding in that finish were: 6th place. Kyler Gaitan 7. Hudsen Joslin 10. Jitse DeBoer 12. Isaac Puerta 13. Dylan Cisneros 14. Aiden Jeffrey 16. Jeremy Vasquez Also placing high was varsity runner Yesenia Osoria who claimed 9th with a time of 13:39, qualifying her for the Regional meet in Lubbock.
This finish helped the varsity girls place 6th as a team. “I’m really proud of these ladies as they improved their times throughout the season,” said Grisham. “They competed well and gave their best.” XC

Gabby Cervantes Grisham also bragged on both the varsity boys (who claimed a 5th place team finish) and the JV boys. “I’m so happy to have all these guys come out and run this season,” Grisham said. “The competitiveness with this group was awesome. Our JV guys were competing for spots on varsity and getting better times every week. It was hard to make decisions for who was to run for district.”
