The third annual Harry Bradberry Marching Classic at Cervetto Field on Saturday, Sept. 30 boasted an exciting day of competition, quality entertainment and practice.
Dublin worked on refining their performance of “The HiddenCathedral”featuring selections from “The Witch and the Saint” and “Come Thou Font of Every Blessing.”
“With a few more bands than previous years, the competition was exciting,” said Dublin ISD band director Ronny Luedke. “Our Sound of Dublin Band earned a division 1 rating from prelims, and performed in exhibition at the start of the finals.”
As hosts, Dublin does not include itself for competition in the awards.
Luedke stated his appreciation of parents and booster club members who helped at the school from before 8 a.m. to around 9 p.m.
“We had a ton of parents helping in various capacities throughout the day,” he said. “They were helping in the concession stand, press box, guiding bands from warm-up to performance, hospitality room, admissions gate, etc. Our booster club did an outstanding job running the contest and we are forever grateful for them!” Results from the competition are as follows: Schools that earned division 1 ratings:
