FFA officers recognized at state convention

Dublin FFA members Joli St. Germain, Jaclyn Gibson, Paige Wilson and Mariana Ortiz were awarded Lonestar FFA Degrees at the 95th Texas FFA State Convention in Dallas on July 12. The State/Lone Star FFA Degree is the highest degree of membership the State FFA Association can award. All 2023-24 Dublin FFA officers were in attendance for the weeklong event: Historian Frida Villicana, Student Advisor Nicole Foster, Sentinel Jaclyn Gibson, Reporter NavaLee White, Treasurer Kenli Roberson, Secretary Bailey Watson, Vice President Paige Wilson and President Mariana Ortiz. Roberson also competed at the rodeo during the event, placing 40th out of 111 in barell racing with an average of 40.702. St. Germain was formally presented with the $20,000 Houston Livestock Show Scholarship in front of 15,000 in attendance.
