BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water slightly stained; 65-70 degrees; 9.19 feet below pool. Black bass to 11.17 pounds are good on topwater walking baits, Alabama rigs, jigs, and crankbaits in 4-18 feet of water . The bass are in post spawn and following the shad spawn. Crappie good around the lake in 2-5 feet of water on jigs and 8-14 feet of water on minnows. White bass are excellent to 2 pounds around scattered rocky shorelines and in the lights or crankbaits or small swimbaits and minnows. Catfish are good to 25 pounds on cut bait near the flats using jugs.

GRANBURY

FAIR. Water lightly stained; 70 degrees; 2.00 feet below pool. Water levels are close to 2.5 feet down making some shallow creeks more difficult to navigate. Avoid areas with timber that may have stumps right under the surface. Water temperatures continue to be around the 70 degree mark on most days and a little cooler when those cool fronts come through. Striped bass continues to be good to 10 pounds on live bait on the lower ends. Large blue and yellow catfish are good on cut bait fished on the upper ends. Crappie reports are mixed, but some good reports are coming from near deeper docks and near entrances to creeks on small jigs and minnows. Largemouth bass are fair to good to seven pounds on spinnerbaits and soft plastics fished near main lake points and in the backs of creeks on their beds. Sand bass are slow to fair on slabs and small minnows fished near Indian Harbor and near Decordova subdivision.

POSSUM KINGDOM

GOOD. Water clear; 65-68 degrees; 5.67 feet below pool. Striped bass are good with the fish preferring live bait. There has been little to no action trolling with artificials. Fish are somewhat scattered with a few schools roaming around in 20-50 feet of water. Sand bass are fair casting slabs and spoons in shallow water on sandy points, or deeper points. Live bait will put fish in the boat in 2-20 feet of water. Catfish are fair in heavy structures using live shad. Some will hit cut shad, but live is preferred in 30-50 feet of water.

PROCTOR

SLOW. Water stained; 70 degrees; 10.08 feet below pool. Catfish are good with cut bait and prepared baits. Bass are fair on points with chatterbaits and swimbaits. Crappie are biting minnows and jigs.

WEATHERFORD

SLOW. Water stained; 68 degrees; 7.94 feet below pool. Look for fishing to pick up in the shallows when the shad spawn begins. Bass are slow fishing post spawn patterns with chatterbaits, flukes, and wacky worms. Crappie are fair on deeper brush piles in the main lake. Catfish are fair off the rocks near the dam on shad and cut bait. White bass are slow on slabs.
