Two Dublin High School girls are headed to the state powerlifting meet on March 16 following the regional meet held Saturday at Dublin.
Mariana Ortiz qualified for advancement following a first place finish in the 198 with a total of 945 pounds, 360 in squat, 245 in bench and 340 in dead lift.
Carla Saucedo qualified after scoring silver in the 259 with a total of 845—15 in squat, 205 in bench and 325 in dead lift.
This is the second consecutive year that both have qualified for state competition.
Other Dublin lifters who placed high include:
■ Madison Turley, 3rd in the 132 with a total of 625—250 in squat, 130 in bench and 245 in dead lift.
■ Priscilla Perez, 3rd in the 198 with a total of 775— 290 in squat, 195 in bench and 290 in dead lift.
■ Lucero Marquez, 4th in the 123 with a total of 570—225 in squat, 120 in bench and 225 in dead lift.
■ Karyna Lopez—5th in the 181 with a total of 780—305 in squat, 205 in bench and 270 in dead lift.
