The Dublin Lions went 2-2 in the Brownwood Holiday Classic basketball tournament last week.
The Lions started with losses to Gatesville (94-53) and Wall (62-42) before rebounding with wins against Brady (53-48) and Big Spring ( 77- 59).
“We started out a little slow in the tourney but came together and started having fun,” said head Dublin boys basketball coach We Grisham. “We didn’t play to our fullest potential so we know we can compete with some bigger schools and Playoff bound teams.”
Grisham called out several of his player for their performances, saying: Dalan Rasberry helped offensive ly and defensively ■ Ayush Patel helped offensively and defensively
■ Kevin Patton was strong defensively stopping good offensive players
■ Fernando Esparza was strong defensively stopping good offensive players
■ Kaden Gaitan helped offensively and defensively
■ Aiden Salyer played solid defense and helped on rebounds
■ Nathaniel Master put some points up from the perimeter
■ Aureliano Ruiz grabbed offense and defense rebounds
