Lions take silver in tourney

Dublin Boys claimed silver in the tournament hosted at Dublin last week. With two big wins over Clifton Thursday (81-67) and Brownwood Friday

(82-69), the Lions made their appearance at the championship game against Tolar where they fell 63-32. “Dublin fell to Tolar but showed good competition despite not having a full roster,” said Dublin Lions head basketball coach Wes Grisham. “I’m proud of these guys and the results they’ve been getting. All the hard work just stands out to me when these young men come to play.”

Vs. Jacksboro

The Lady Lions followed this with a 43-38 loss to Jacksboro on Friday. played Jacksboro.

“This was by far our best game all around,” said Head DHS Girls basketball coach Kim Perez. “Defense was on point. We did great things offensively, and our shooting percentage was 64.7%.”

Gabby Herrera led Dublin scoring with 14, followed by NavaLee White and Jordane Harrell with 6, Madilyn Loper with 5, Libby Turner with 4, and Emma Vargas with 3.

Vs. Rogers

The Lady Lions faced Rogers for 5th place in the final game and won 48-39. Gabby Herrera dropped 20, Olivia Salyer had 9, and Madilyn Loper put in 6.
