Body

The Dublin Lady Lions were narrowly edged out in Tolar and claimed another W in games on Nov. 22 and Nov. 28 respectively.

Vs. Tolar

Dublin fell short in 45-43 away game Nov. 22 against the Tolar Lady Rattlers.

“We went cold in the 3rd quarter and made some errors that set us back and couldn’t recover,” said Lady Lions head basketball coach Kim Perez. “Last year when we played Tolar at home we lost 54-27, so I am proud of our progress. If you watched us play last year, we look like a completely different team.”

Scoring for Dublin in the game were: NavaLee White with 13, Gabriyela Herrera with 10, Jordane Harrell with 5, Sierra Chapa with 3 and Emma Vargas with 2.

Vs. DeLeon

The Dublin ladies returned home Monday night and claimed a 47-31 win over the DeLeon Lady Bearcats.

“This is the third time we have faced the Lady Cats.” said Perez. “We had great energy. Our defense was solid.”

Herrera led scoring with 20 points. White had 6, Madilyn Loper and Libertie Turner had 5, Madison Turley had 4, Chapa had 3, Olivia Salyer had 2 and Vargas had 1.

The Lady Lions will face Italy in the first game of the tournament Dec. 1.
