The Dublin Lady Lions fell in the championship bracket last week during the Dublin Athletic Booster Club Volleyball tournament.

The varsity girls started off slow against Coleman and were unable to catch up according to Head Volleyball Coach Arin Knight.

The Lady Lions gained moment in the second match against Saint Jo, claiming the first set before losing the second and third sets.

“The girls played really well, it’s just a matter of ending the game strong,” said Knight.

“Just as we preach in our Dublin Lion Creedit’s not about how you start, it’s about how you finish.”

Knight called out Chloe Cisneroz as player of the tournament. “This girl hustles for everything and is always flexible when I put her in different positions each game, said Knight. “She is a hard worker and I’m excited to have her on my team.”

The tourney was reportedly a success overall as DHS hosted 17 teams across three days.

“Big thank you to everyone who came out and supported the girls but also big thanks for everyone who helped,” offered Knight “We appreciate you all!”

“We appreciate all the people who stepped in to help us,” echoed DISD Athletic Director Greg Hardcastle. “Everybody seemed to enjoy it.”
