The Dublin ISD School Board approved three probationary teacher contracts following executive discussion during the regular board meeting on April 19.

The board also approved revisions to several policies to reflect Dublin ISD’s status as a ‘District of Innovation” including: employment requirements and restrictions, assignment and schedules, school year and employment practices on probationary contracts. The revisions carried with James Moore voting in opposition.

The board unanimously voted to request an extension of remote learning, carrying out a state requirement on any student who missed 20 or more days to COVID quarantine.

The board also passed a resolution proclaiming May 2-6 Teacher Appreciation Week and approved the materials allotment and TEKS Certification for the 2022- 2023 school year. It was announced that student enrollment stood at 1,114 up from 1,102 in March and 1,079 in April 2021.
