The Dublin Lions provided a great show to packed housed as they hosted Comanche in a 56-40 victory for the home team.

Lions head coach characterized the win as a “big comeback” for his team.

“We started out missing a few shots, and it was a great defensive game in the first quarter being down 5-7,” Grisham said. “After that, we came out hitting shots and getting what we wanted. It was a fun and competitive game against a competitive team. ”

Ayush Patel led scoring with 24 points, 4 steals, and 1 blocked shot.

Dalan Rasberry had17 points, 14 rebounds, 4 steals and 5 assists. Tyler Harrell had 6 points, 5 blocked shots and 7 rebounds. Cooper Hubble had 2 points, 14 rebounds, 2 charges and 1 blocked shot. Momo Lolohea had 4 points, 1 blocked shot and 2 rebounds. Hunter Warren had 3 points and 3 rebounds.

This win followed a 73-85 away loss to the Peaster Greyhounds, who are state ranked and sitting at first in district.

“We had a great game going for 3 1/2 quarters,” said Grisham. “Momentum was in our favor most of the game when Peaster couldn’t stop us from the perimeter. Our team knocked down 15 three-pointers against a solid defensive team.”

Grisham said the run fizzled for the Lions in the middle of the fourth quarter when Peaster started making some big shots and the Lions didn’t match them.

“That game built our confidence up preparing us for post season play in an intense atmosphere,” he said.

Rasberry led scoring with 25 points, followed by Patel-(20 points), Adrian Juarez (15 points), Cooper Hubble (5 points), Lolohea (4 points), Harrel and Warren (2 points each).
